NEMIC gains Nova, AlvaMed as latest Corporate Members
Just months after launching its Corporate Membership program, NEMIC is pleased to welcome two more corporate members.
This month, NEMIC gained two more corporate members–Nova, a design and engineering partner connecting the digital and physical through user-centered methodologies–and AlvaMed, a medical device consulting firm that offers a comprehensive suite of compliance services in regulatory, quality assurance, and more. The two latest corporate members showcase Rhode Island’s unique ability to bring together industry experts with deep subject matter expertise in the health technologies space, with NEMIC being at the center of those efforts.
NEMIC began the Corporate Membership program in 2023, with the vision of bolstering the entrepreneurial and life sciences ecosystems in Rhode Island, by procuring a suite of member corporations that support innovation.
"We plan to grow our Corporate Membership offering, to include a host of corporations, such as service providers, industry partners and more," said Aidan Petrie, co-founder and managing partner at NEMIC.
As Rhode Island’s burgeoning Life Science ecosystem continues to grow, supportive mechanisms –such as the nascent Rhode Island Life Science Hub which will foster interdisciplinary collaboration across a broad spectrum of sectors–will become critical framework for staking Rhode Island’s claim as a Center of Excellence in health technology; and NEMIC’s Corporate Membership program will add to such mechanisms. By connecting corporations to Southern New England's thriving Life Sciences ecosystem, NEMIC will be able to fold-in companies from the private sector to support innovators with critical resources they need in order to succeed.
