2023-24 Med Tech Leadership Progam 2023-24 Off to Successful Start

The inaugural phase of our Med Tech Leadership Program for 2023-24 has commenced with tremendous success. This year, we are delighted to welcome 20 bright and diverse individuals to the program. Our participants hail from various backgrounds, including self-employed innovators, seasoned engineers, undergraduates, graduates, pre-med students from Brown University, and students from Salve Regina University. Additionally, our cohort is comprised of talented designers and professional copywriters.

Within the dynamic environment of the NEMIC classroom, participants have exhibited remarkable dedication to their learning journey. They have actively engaged in classes and workshops covering essential topics such as Pitch Deck Development, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Viability. We are concluding our Product Development module and transitioning into the next phase, the Go-to-Market Strategy module. In this segment, participants will delve into critical aspects like Reimbursement Strategy, Pricing Strategy, and other pivotal topics contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape.

The spirit of collaboration extends beyond the confines of our regular classroom sessions in the Med Tech Leadership Program. Even outside the structured hours, participants and their teams are devotedly working on refining their skills. They diligently craft professional and award-worthy presentation decks complemented by captivating pitches. Noteworthy projects from this year's cohort encompass an ADHD Behavioral Tracking Application, an Adenosine Administration device, and an Epicardiac Ultrasound Probe Stabilizer. The dedication and innovation displayed by our participants both during and beyond formal program activities highlight the program's commitment to fostering excellence in the ever-evolving field of medical technology.

We look forward to seeing everyone’s progress throughout the six-month program at our MTLP Pitch Night + Graduation, which will be held in the spring!

While the Med Tech Leadership Program is free for Rhode Island-based residents, students, companies, and employees, the same acclaimed program is also available via the NEMIC Virtual Classroom - an asynchronous program that allows you to learn on your own terms and at your own pace.
