SEED FUNDING PREPARATION PROGRAM 2020
Many Rhode Island based Med Tech startups' offer promising technology and innovative solutions to the healthcare industry. However, a common challenge for startups is a lack of startup business development and funding know how beyond the technical areas of their business. Supported by Rhode Island Commerce, NEMIC announces a new program to support local med tech startups in the pre-seed funding stage.
Through Activate, startups can apply to be awarded professional services valued between $21,000-$37,000 to fill gaps in their business plan in preparation for a successful first round of fundraising. Services include, but are not limited to understanding their venture's market size, competitive landscape, clinical needs assessment, IP and regulatory pathways, and business and financing acumen, which will be provided by industry experts.
