Meet SMART, our Subject Matter Advisory Resource Team
SMART is our Subject Matter Advisory Resource Team made up of subject matter experts that support NEMIC and our community of startups by providing advice, insight, knowledge, and connections to ultimately advance medical technologies to market. Each member of our SMARTeam was handpicked as a top subject matter expert in their field. Many are known as professionals who support the cultivation of an accessible and supportive Med Tech entrepreneurial ecosystem in Rhode Island.
The team’s first engagement is helping to build the curriculum and teaching classes/workshops for our Med Tech Education Program, which officially kicked off this past Monday, October 15th, 2019. The Med Tech Education Program teaches RI entrepreneurs and industry professionals the ins and outs of Med Tech development and entrepreneurship. Explore the curriculum here.
Multiple team members will also be leading classes during our next Global Med Tech Bootcamp, in early November. NEMIC will be hosting 13 Korean startups for an immersive week-long bootcamp made up of classes, workshops, networking events, pitch events, and a Demo Day. The bootcamp’s goal is to kick start the startups’ path to commercialization in the United States.
