Meet the Minds behind NEMIC, Lydia Shin Schroter + Aidan Petrie

Meet the minds behind NEMIC

Our Managing Partners, Aidan Petrie and Lydia Shin Schroter linked up in 2017 when they found that their backgrounds and specialties in the Med Tech field fit like puzzle pieces. Aidan, a seasoned entrepreneur and product developer, imagined the idea for NEMIC after finding a need for Med Tech companies who were 1) too early stage and 2) did not have the funding to work with his most successful venture, Ximedica. Lydia’s successful background as a C-level executive in global finance and angel investor focused on early stage Med Tech startups, was the perfect fit to help fill the need.

Together they cultivated a Med Tech Hub, NEMIC, in Providence to share their extensive knowledge, network, and connections to funding sources for local, regional, and global startups. Through NEMIC’s education, events, programs, bootcamps, and collaborative space they are able to share their own knowledge and connect entrepreneurs to their network of subject matter experts to ultimately being more system changing and patient focused technology to market.
