Project Coordinator

The New England Medical Innovation Center in Providence, Rhode Island is a non-profit foundation and creative co-working space centered around bringing individuals together to advance innovators and entrepreneurs to reach their full potential and accelerate their medical technologies to market.  NEMIC’s individualized services and expertise in working with the FDA help our clients prepare for successful fundraising and technology commercialization in the field of healthcare, digital devices, and products. 

We are seeking a full time Project Coordinator to work with managing partners to assist with program management (eg. a startup education, workshops, and business plan assessment).  This role is also responsible for providing necessary support for participating startups and startups in residence.  The Project Coordinator will also assist managing partners in creating and expanding educational contents focused in medical technologies (MedTech) and digital health.  This candidate should possess ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and to work individually and with a team.  The candidate has to show flexibility and willingness to create programs from the ground up.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

·        Write and manage curriculum for NEMIC programs and education workshops

·        Develop and manage program logistics and budgets

·        Coordinate program and workshop schedules (internal & external)

·        Assist managing partners with writing business proposals (including service agreements) and following through with said agreements

·        On-going client relationship management

·        Is responsible for co-managing the day to day operations of our Innovation Center (team effort)

·        Excel Spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation creation and management

·        Grant writing/administration

·        Work with office and media coordinator to promote NEMIC activities

·        Monitor and evaluate both new and existing programs

·        Assume responsibility for the program’s participants, educators, and mentors

·        Relationship management with advisors, mentors, and co-horts

·        Follow up and assess participant satisfaction, performance, and follow through with recommendations

·        Writing project reports to clients, as well as institutional partners

·        Support development of client business plans and pitches

·        1+ years in a similar role
